Danna Olsen is an inclusive and imaginative mixed-media artist who lives with her partner and German Shepherd in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Danna received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Oil Painting from Brigham Young University, Provo. Danna has attended artist residencies and received scholarships at the Art Institute of Boston at Leslie University and the Vermont Studio Center. In 2023 she completed an Arts and Technology certificate at the University of Utah.
Danna's art can be described as colorful, stylized, and surreal, imbued with a feeling of love for the subject matter. Her subjects vary from people, animals, and nature, to collage-compiled creatures. Danna's inspiration draws from the psychedelic rock she loves.
Her art expresses warmth and a compassionate awareness of life's chaotic elements through various mediums such as oil painting, printmaking, photography, video, watercolor, and collage.
